Every week, my feed is filled with “green warriors” flying from one conference to another, proudly holding coffee cups made of bamboo and posing next to PowerPoint slides. It’s summits, forums, panels, roundtables, expos… all talking about the climate crisis, energy transition, and sustainability.
And they’re always talking. Talking about urgency. Talking about solutions. Talking about action.
But where’s the action?
Let’s be honest: the climate crisis has become a career path. People and institutions are now professionally concerned. Billions are being spent on events, branding, report-writing, and networking. Fancy titles like “Green Innovation Lab Strategist” or “Circularity Advisor” pop up every day, but they rarely touch the ground where real problems live.
Meanwhile, real solutions, simple, working, practical, are sitting in the dark.
I know what I’m talking about. I’ve spent more than a decade inventing and improving off-grid technologies, energy efficient housing prototypes, to make live fully without depending on centralized energy, regenerate ecosystems and create a closed-loop living system with water recycling, food production, and natural energy storage. No gas. No grid. No green theater.
But try getting support or funding? Nothing.
Why?
Because people who really do, they don’t sit in a summit every week. They not playing the game of polished presentations. They are not part of the circle of “experts” who talk, repost, and applaud each other’s quotes.
The reality is: real innovation is not sexy. It’s dirty hands, testing, failing, building, testing again.
And the real innovators? They’re too busy making something actually work. They don’t have time to design 60-slide decks or chase photo ops.
The real joke is this: the billions being spent on climate “awareness” would be enough to scale hundreds of proven, working solutions. Enough to give thousands of people energy independence, clean water, regenerative housing, and sustainable food production.
But that doesn’t fit the system.
Because talking keeps the system alive. Endless panels and declarations look good, feel good, but achieve… nothing.
It’s time to cut the nonsense.
Redirect the billions from boardrooms to building sites. From slides to soil. From climate consultants to real creators. Not next year. Not after another conference. Now.
Because the planet isn’t waiting for the next keynote speaker.
